In recent years, it has been said that the revival of the Japanese economy depends on the creation of each regional economy.

In particular, there has been a growing trend toward support for the promotion of industry and the creation of new innovations, and it is expected to spread nationwide in the future.

In this event, two tech venture managers who started their businesses in Kyushu in the midst of this trend and have achieved growth, will talk about their experiences of going from start-up to IPO.

Kazuhisa Tomita

CEO in PBsystems,Inc.

After graduating from the Department of Economic Engineering at Kyushu University, he joined Nomura Computer Systems (now Nomura Research Institute, Ltd.), and later moved back to Fukuoka, where he founded P.B. Systems, Inc. in February 1997 with Mr. Morisaki (currently, Director and General Manager of Manufacturing Division), whom he met at the same workplace. He became president and representative director.

In 2019, the company was listed on the Fukuoka Stock Exchange Q-Board independently.

Shunji Sugaya

CEO in OPTiM Corporation

In 2000, when he was student at Saga University, he was awarded the Masayoshi Son Prize (Special Prize) at the 1st Business Japan Open. In the same year, he founded OPTiM Corporation.

He received the Venture Management Award at the "40th Keizaikai Awards".

In 2014, Optim was listed on the Tokyo Mothers, and the following year 2015, it was moved to the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
