Cyrielle Thomas

Founder & CEO

Cyrielle Thomas is the Representative Director of DOKOJAPAN K.K., a company she established in Fukuoka in December 2020 with the aim to help local businesses in their digitization process in Japan. Cyrielle is a French entrepreneur who dedicated her entire career to this digital purpose when she was working at Yelp, UberEats and Airbnb in Bordeaux and Aquitaine Regions.

After visiting Japan for the first time in 2017, she discovered Japanese Tea (Shizuoka Cha) in the mountain of Hakone and quickly realized the potential of Tea Tourism, which shares similarities with Wine Tourism in France. Cyrielle then launched DOKOCHA in Tokyo in 2019 to promote Japanese Tea Experiences to international travelers, and moved to Fukuoka in March 2020 with her Startup Visa and a real crush for this human-sized city, near the sea and the tea (YAMECHA). When the pandemic hit, she decided to give access to QR Code Menu to all local businesses and created DIGITOMENU the same year to bring more Safety, Accessibility and Sustainability.

Stephen Leung

Founder and CEO

I was born and raised in Hong Kong and came to Fukuoka in 2020. I wanted to start a business in Japan but lacked Japanese language skills, so I decided to study in a 1-year Japanese language program before applying for a business visa.

From my Japanese studying experiences also came the idea of my new business, which will be focusing on helping Japanese and English language learners around the world on building ””conversational skills””. I plan to accomplish that by creating resources such as online courses and applications for language learning.

In 2021 I applied for a ””startup visa”” in Fukuoka City. With the great help and support from the ””Global Startup Center”” as well as Fukuoka City, I was able to successfully convert from a student visa to a business manager visa smoothly.

FREDERIC SUDRAUD

CEO & FOUNDER

Began his career in his home town, Limoges, in the porcelain industry as an export development manager.
Then spent ten years within the Geodis Logistics Group, working in international business development & marketing functions.
In 2003, I had the opportunity to buy out ITI Communication, a communications agency that was in bankruptcy. His first challenge was to straighten out this agency, and restructured it around three main values:
- The environment
- The human
- Innovation.
It is the combination of these three values that enabled the creation of FACIL’iti, a digital inclusion project that became a full-fledged positive impact Start Up in 2018.
FACIL’iti is a digital accessibility assistance tool. Concretely, this solution allows a tailor-made adaptation of the display of digital tools (website, intranet, application) to more than 20 handicaps or navigation problems.
